Brian Blessed
Brian Blessed OBE ist ein englischer Schauspieler. Er ist bekannt für seinen markanten, buschigen Bart, seine tiefe Stimme und seine temperamentvolle Persönlichkeit. Er verkörperte unter anderem PC „Fancy“ Smith in Z-Cars; Augustus in der BBC-Fernsehproduktion von „Ich, Claudius“ (1976); König Richard IV. in der ersten Staffel von „Blackadder“; Prinz Vultan in „Flash Gordon“; Bustopher Jones und Old Deuteronomy in der Londoner Originalproduktion von „Cats“ (1981) im New London Theatre; Thomas Beaufort, Herzog von Exeter, in „Heinrich V.“; Boss Nass in „Star Wars: Episode I – Die dunkle Bedrohung“; und lieh Clayton sowie dem Tarzan-Schrei in Disneys „Tarzan“ seine Stimme.
2016 wurde Blessed für seine Verdienste um Kunst und Wohltätigkeit zum Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) ernannt.
