Biografie
Jane Lynch
Jane Marie Lynch (* 14. Juli 1960) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Komikerin und Autorin. Lynch ist vor allem bekannt für ihre Rolle als Sue Sylvester in der Musical-Comedy-Serie Glee (2009–2015) auf Fox, für die sie mit einem Primetime Emmy Award ausgezeichnet wurde. Außerdem erlangte sie Anerkennung durch ihre Rollen in den Mockumentary-Filmen von Christopher Guest, wie Best in Show (2000), A Mighty Wind (2003) und For Your Consideration (2006).
Lynch hatte eine wiederkehrende Rolle in der CBS-Sitcom Two and a Half Men (2004–2014), für die sie für einen Primetime Emmy Award nominiert wurde, sowie wiederkehrende Rollen in der Showtime-Drama-Serie The L Word (2005–2009), der CBS-Krimiserie Criminal Minds (2006–2020), der CBS All Access-Drama-Serie The Good Fight (2017–heute) und der Amazon Prime Video-Comedy-Serie The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–heute), für die sie ebenfalls einen Primetime Emmy Award erhielt. Seit 2013 moderiert sie die NBC-Spielshow Hollywood Game Night, für die sie zwei Primetime Emmy Awards gewonnen hat.
Lynch spielte in zahlreichen bekannten Comedy-Filmen mit, darunter Jungfrau (40), männlich, sucht... (2005), Ricky Bobby – König der Rennfahrer (2006), Vorbilder?! (2008), Paul – Ein Alien auf der Flucht (2011) und Die Stooges – Drei Vollpfosten drehen ab (2012). Sie lieh außerdem zahlreichen Animationsfilmen ihre Stimme, darunter Space Chimps – Affen im All (2008), Ice Age 3 – Die Dinosaurier sind los (2009), Für immer Shrek (2010), Rio (2011), Ralph reicht’s (2012) und Chaos im Netz (2018).
Im Jahr 2013 erhielt Lynch den 2.505. Stern auf dem Hollywood Walk of Fame in der Kategorie Fernsehen, gelegen am 6640 Hollywood Blvd. Zu ihren zahlreichen Auszeichnungen zählen fünf Primetime Emmy Awards, zwei Screen Actors Guild Awards und ein Golden Globe Award.
