Biografie
Tony Todd
Anthony Tiran Todd war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Er ist vor allem bekannt als Darsteller des Candyman, den er in vier Filmen verkörperte.
Todd wurde in Washington, D.C., geboren und wuchs in Hartford, Connecticut, auf. Nach dem Besuch der lokalen Hartford Public High School absolvierte ein Studium an der University of Connecticut und am „Eugene O’Neill National Theatre Institute“. Für beide Universitäten hatte er Stipendien erhalten, in Connecticut ein Sportstipendium.
Seit 1986 ist er als Schauspieler für Film und Fernsehen aktiv. In den 1990er Jahren war er auch in Raumschiff Enterprise – Das nächste Jahrhundert und Star Trek: Deep Space Nine als klingonischer Captain Kurn zu sehen.
Von 2005 bis 2006 war er in drei Folgen der Serie Stargate – Kommando SG-1 zu sehen. Außerdem trat er in der Fernsehserie Xena – Die Kriegerprinzessin in der Folge „Schiff der Verdammnis“ als Cecrops auf. Todd übernahm im April 2012 die Hauptrolle in der Horror-Serie Zombie Family, neben Cerina Vincent und Reggie Bannister.[1] Sein Schaffen umfasst mehr als 200 Film- und Fernsehprojekte, darunter viele B-Movies aus dem Horrorgenre.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops II lieh er „Admiral Tommy Briggs“ seine Stimme.
Neben seiner Arbeit vor der Kamera tritt er in Theaterstücken auf und betätigt sich mit seiner markanten Stimme als Erzähler in Filmen und Filmtrailern.
