Bela Lugosi
Bela Lugosi (eigentlich Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó) war ein ungarischer Schauspieler, der vor allem durch Rollen in Horrorfilmen bekannt wurde. In seiner Anfangszeit als Schauspieler verwendete er auch das Pseudonym „Arisztid Olt“. Sein späterer Künstlername „Lugosi“ ist vom Namen seines Geburtsorts abgeleitet.Weltweite Bekanntheit erlangte Lugosi durch seine Darstellung des Grafen Dracula in der gleichnamigen Romanverfilmung von 1931 von Tod Browning. Er wirkte in der Folge in Filmen von sehr unterschiedlicher Qualität mit, darunter auch in zahlreichen B-Filmen. In seinen letzten Lebensjahren war Lugosi oft arbeitslos, was ihn veranlasste, auch in Trash-Filmen von Edward D. Wood Jr aufzutreten. Nicht zuletzt deshalb genießt Lugosi heute bei Fans dieser Filmgattung Kultstatus. (Quelle: Wikipedia)
